On Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 6:30 pm we will be meeting at Mountain Green Elementary for our annual shareholder meeting.  At this meeting we will review the 2016 Consumer Confidence Report, review the 2016 profit/loss statement and present the 2017 operating budget.  In addition, we have invited Mountain Green Secondary Water to join with us for their annual meeting in an attempt to conserve resources and save time.

Dear Shareholders,

Our recent July bacteria sampling showed the presence of coliforms in the distribution system.  Subsequent sampling resulted in four of the 16 samples taken being coliform positive.  All samples were absent for E. coli.

Because we are coliform positive and E. coli negative this results in a non-acute tier-2 non-boil order violation wherein we must notify our customers within 30 days of the violation and continue sampling until the issue is resolved.

To ensure your safety, we chlorinated the culinary water storage tanks on the afternoon of July 13, 2016.  We will begin directional flushing of the distribution system on July 14, 2016.  Many of you will notice the smell and taste of chlorine after the directional flushing.  The taste and smell associated with chlorine treatment should be absent the early part of the week of July 18th.
