Notice to Rollins Ranch Water Users: Due to construction on Cottonwood Canyon Road, your water delivery may be impacted for approximately two (2) hours until 11:00 am. The water is SAFE to drink. We just received confirmation from the laboratory that all samples submitted yesterday were absent for both coliform and E. coli.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. We just contacted the laboratory and they have not yet taken the samples out of the incubator. Samples we are told will be ready just before 5:00pm
Just a reminder that the Cottonwood Mutual Water Company's Annual Shareholder meeting will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:00pm in the Mountain Green Elementary School.
We will be presenting the 2015 profit/loss statement and the 2016 budget. In addition, we will be updating you on the pump-to-waste capital improvement project of the Rose Hill #2 well. We also have two board members whose terms are expiring: Brandon Love of District 1 and Robert McConnell of district 2. On Wednesday, October 7th during our routine bacteria monitoring the results determined we were positive for coliform, but absent for e. coli. Coliform is an indicator bacteria and although not harmful does require us to take proactive measure to protect against other more harmful bacteria. Upon re-sampling we were able to determine that the positive coliforms were localized to the middle pressure zone only.
Based upon the recommendations of the State Department of Drinking Water we chlorinated our water storage tanks in the middle pressure zone to the acceptable dosing limits on Sunday, October 11th. Many of you living in the Cottonwoods, phases 2, 3, 4; and Fox Hollow may have noticed the smell and taste of chlorine in your water. Please note the taste and odor problem you are experiencing is only temporary and should dissipate within the next three to five days. The taste and odor of chlorine is localized to the middle pressure zone only and those of you living in the areas below the Cottonwoods, phase 2, 3, 4; and Fox Hollow should not experience any taste or odor problems resulting from chlorination. Please note although you may smell and taste chlorine the water is safe for human and animal consumption. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you would like to be notified of water quality matters in the future please click on the 'contact us' tab and we will include you on our email notification. Dear Shareholder,
