On February 7, 2014 Jenalee Frazier, the water company office manager, made a life changing decision and retired. We appreciate all that she has done while serving the Cottonwood Mutual Water Company and its shareholders. Jenalee began working for the water company in 2007. Now that she is retired she and her husband, Jim, are planning on spending more time with family, friends, serving an LDS mission, and traveling. We wish her nothing but the best as she embarks upon this new life's adventure.

The Cottonwood Mutual Water Company is pleased to announce the hiring of Sandy Walker to the position of office manager. Sandy is very well qualified and will be a tremendous asset to the company and its shareholders. Sandy and her husband, Ray, reside in the Cottonwoods. Please feel free to stop by the office and say 'Hi'.

On Monday, October 14, 2013 the Cottonwood Mutual Water Company was notified of a non-acute coliform violation.  This was a non-boil order violation requiring public notification within 30 days.  Please review the attached file for a complete explanation of this violation.

We can use the well!!!!
You will be happy to know that on Friday, July 12, 2013 the Water Company met with a member of the Division of Drinking Water who inspected the Rose Hill #3 well site.  During this visit the water company was able to receive the  necessary approvals to begin well operation.  The water company can anticipate seeing formal approvals for using the well coming later in the week of July 15th.  Nevertheless, on Friday, July 12, 2013 the water company began pumping water into the distribution system from this well. 

As a Company we are very appreciative of Gardner Development and Gardner Cottonwood Creek for seeing this well through to completion.

We thank all of those who attended the Annual Shareholders' meeting on Tuesday, April 16th.  This was a very well attended meeting where 124 class A shares were represented out of the 721 on the books. 

We were able to bring everyone present current on the settlement agreements reached with the Wilkinson Family and Gardner Cottonwood Creek.  In addition, we were able to discuss, amend and adopt new Articles of Incorporation and we were also able to elect members to the Board of Directors.

The new board is as follows:

     - District 1 - 3 year term - Brandon Love
     - District 2 - 3 year term - Robert McConnell
     - District 3 - 2 year term - Kelby York
     - District 4 - 2 year term - Doug Dingman
     - Member-at-Large - 2 year term - Drew Somerville

To determine your district representative; please visit the Document and Reports tab and click the file labeled Districts.  This will allow you to determine which district you reside.

As mentioned previously, the 2013 Annual Shareholder meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 7:00pm in the Mountain Green Elementary School.  In anticipation of this meeting we have posted two documents to this web site under the Documents & Reports tab.  The first document is a file containing the new proposed Articles of Incorporation which we will be voting on and approving at the shareholder meeting.  The second document is a proxy authorization form that you can fill out and provide to the individual you have designated to vote your share(s)should you not be able to attend.  This form can also be returned to the water company office prior to the meeting.  Please know that those individuals voting proxy shares will need to have the proxy form verified by staff prior to the start of the meeting.

We encourage all to attend this very important meeting since we will be voting on new Articles of Incorporation as well as electing new board members to serve on the board.
