Dear Cottonwood Mutual Water User,
The water tank that was recently constructed in Rollins Ranch is now complete and has been granted an operating permit by the State Division of Drinking Water. Water in this tank will soon be entering the distribution system and your home. Please know the water in this tank meets the safe drinking water standards and is safe to drink and use. However, you may experience the following as you use the water:
***Notice a slight taste and odor of chlorine.
- Chlorine was added to the water to aid in the disinfection process of the tank.
- Water in the tank met all bacteriological testing requirements and protocols.
As mentioned, the water is safe to drink and use. The residual chlorine amount found in this water is within the safe limits of 0.5 to 4.0 mg/l. The actual chlorine residual found at the tank on Monday, October 29, 2018 was 2.94 mg/l.
